Reece Chenevert

Services for Reece Jules Chenevert, age 86, of Cottonport will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church with Father Anthony Raj Dhamaraj officiating. Interment will be in St Marys Assumption Mausoleum, Cottonport under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport. Mr. Chenevert passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at his residence in Cottonport. He was retired from the Corps of Engineers after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Chenevert was preceded in death by his father, Rushing Chenevert; mother, Lillian Turner; brother, Hudson Chenevert; sister, Myrtis C. Juneau; grandson, Jeff Bardwell. His survivors include his daughter, Kaeryn C. and husband Mike Frank of Prairieville; sons, Ronald Chenevert of Marksville, Douglas and wife Karen Chenevert of Baton Rouge, Jonathan Scott Chenevert of Baton Rouge, Ross Chenevert of Plaucheville, Drew Chenevert of Cottonport; brother, Reed Chenevert of Marksville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport, 554 Front Street, Cottonport on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
