Funeral services for Rev. Eugene Gaspard of Moreauville will take place at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church of Bordelonville on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Bobby Cazelot, Sr. officiating. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral service, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Cemetery.
Rev. Eugene Gaspard, age 91, passed away at the Rio Sol Nursing Home of Mansura on Friday, September 9, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ella Gaspard son, Joseph DeeCee Gaspard grandchild, Shelia Gay. He is survived by his sons, James Perry Gaspard, Sr. of Bordelonville, Harvey Gaspard of Zachary, William Peanut Gaspard of Pensacola, FL sisters, Melba Cooper of Bordelonville, Margie Smith of Bordelonville, Irma Gremillion of Alexandria. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, eight greatgreatgrandchildren.
