Richard Jenkins

Funeral services for Richard Jenkins of Cottonport will be at the New Light Baptist Church of Evergreen on Saturday, May 25, 2013 beginning at 11am with Rev. Gary Ford officiating. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 8am until 10am on Saturday, May 25, 2013. There will be a Masonic Ceremony beginning at 10:30am on before the service. Burial will be at the New Light Baptist Cemetery in Evergreen. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Richard Jenkins, age 69, passed away at the Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Mr. Jenkins worked with the Holsum Bread for 33 years.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents Elgie, Sr. Carrie Jenkins and three brothers, Joe B. Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, and Herman Jenkins. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Patricia Jenkins of Cottonport two daugthers, Dwanda J. Jones Larry of Cottonport and Ladricca J. Sudds Algolden of Shreveport one son David Jenkins of Cottonport four sisters, Elizabeth Miles Ernest of Alexandria, Mary Lee Jackson Shirley of Alexandria, QueenEsther Jacobs of Port Arthur, TX, Carrie Lee Washington Milbert of Cottonport three brothers, Elgie Jenkins, Jr. Inez, Edward Jenkins, and William Jenkins all of Port Arthur, TX his is also survived by two grandchildren, Darius Jenkins Davion Young and one special little boy, Triston Kyle.
