Ricky St. Romain

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricky St. Romain, a devoted husband, father, son, and brother, who left us too soon on February 22, 2025, at the age of 48. Ricky was born on February 7, 1977, and he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.

Funeral service for Ricky St. Romain of Simmesport will begin at 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. 

Visitation will be begin at 8:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. 

Burial will follow at 2:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer.

Ricky was the kind of person who never met a stranger. He put the needs of his loved ones before his own, always ready to lend a helping hand. His warmth and compassion will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Ricky was a dedicated worker of 23 years, pouring his heart into his job, but he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He cherished the time spent at the camp, enjoying the great outdoors, and hunting with friends and family. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Shantell St.Romain of Simmesport; son, Austin St.Romain (Miracle) of Simmesport; father, Jessie J. St.Romain of Hessmer; mother, Brenda Ducote (Mike) of Fifthward; sister, Jessica St.Romain  O'Connor (Abram) of Hessmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those to serve as pallbearers are, Greg Kimble, Austin St.Romain, Beau Lambert, Jared Smith, RJ Tyler, and Mike Ducote; honorary, Chris Polotzola and Ryan Polotzola.  

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Nathan Barr; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Jenny Lee St. Romain; maternal grandparents, Edd and Dorothy Ducote; father-in-law, Charlie "Coochie" Kimble; and mother-in-law, Jeanette Kimble.
