Rita Ducote

Funeral Services for Rita M. Ducote will be held 11:00a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport, LA.
Rita Ducote, age 82, Entered eternal rest to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior on April 1, 2010.
She was known for her love of the game of bingo and the endless hours that she spent running the weekly bingo games to raise money for St. Marys church and school in the 70s and early 80s. When the St. Marys Church Fair came around, every store owner Cottonport and Avoyelles Parish knew that Rita would be coming to get prize donations for the bingo games and that No was not an option. She worked tirelessly to support the church and school that she loved.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Jerry J. Ducote, son, Gerard Charlie Ducote, and grandson, Robert Martin.
Rita is survived by her daughters, Liz and husband David Monju of Lafayette, Gabriele and husband Robert Martin of Mattoon, Illinois sons Michael and wife Lisa Ducote of Burleson, TX, Thomas and wife Mitzi Ducote of Crowley, TX and 11 Grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport and continue until departing for services.
