Funeral services for Rita Simon of Moreauville will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville, beginning at 11:00am, with Msgr. John Timmermans officiating. Visitations will take place prior to the funeral at the Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville, from 7:00am until time of the funeral. Burial services will commence at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Rita Simon, age 81, passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home on Monday, March 22, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Colomb Volcie Mayeux. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Gaspard and husband Dwayne of Moreauville sons, Carl Simon and wife Brinda of Fifth Ward, Darrell Simon and wife Donna of Moreauville brother, Earnest Mayeux of Moreauville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren.
