Funeral services for Robert Lee Thomas, Sr. of Moreauville will take place at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Mansura on Saturday, July 17, 2010, beginning at 11:00am, with Rev Darrell Sampson officiating. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral services, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the church cemetery.
Robert Thomas, Sr., age 63, passed on Saturday, July 10, 2010. He is preceded in death by his wife, Verna Thomas son, Jimmy Lair father, William Ballard brothers, Edward Wilson, Sr., Steve Wilson, Sr. grandmother, Clara Hunt Weaver. He is survived by his mother, Cladie Mae Wilson of Simmesport daughters, Gilmore Tanya of Moreauville, Kasey Harris of Moreauville sons, Robert Thomas, Jr. of Winnfield, Darnell Frank of Houston, James Lair of Moreauville sisters, Jacquelyn Watson of Harker Heights, TX, Louise Caesar of Baton Rouge, Lillie Mae Jackson of Columbus, GA brothers, Moses Wilson, Jr. of Oakdale, Charles Fox of Alexandria, John Ballard of Marksville. He is also survived by his twentyseven grandchildren ten greatgrandchildren.
