Robert Whiddon

Funeral services for Robert Samuel Whiddon of Walker will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 beginning at 11:30am at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 beginning at 5pm to 12pm at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura and will resume Friday morning at 8am. Interment will commence at the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Robert Samuel Whiddon, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pannie Whiddon; parents, Sam & Addie Whiddon; sister, Katherine Whiddon; brothers, L.D. Whiddon, Elie Whiddon, Lawrence Whiddon, & J.B. Whiddon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Katherin Guillory (Terry) of Vidilia, Margaret Brignac of Baker, Bobbie Ann Sibley (Rickey) of Livingston, & Angela Whiddon Dolan of Walker; brothers, Bill Whiddon of Pass Christian, MS, Louis Whiddon of Belledeau, & H.L. Whiddon of Hessmer. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
