Roberta Norman

Funeral services for Roberta Bordelon Norman of Bordelonville will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 beginning at 1pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bordelonville with Fr. Ramji Shoury officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 beginning at 8am until time of service at St. Peter's Church Hall in Bordelonville. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Bordelonville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Roberta Norman, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Valley View Nursing Home in Marksville. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Clarence Norman; parents, Edward & Pliney Bordelon; sisters, Bernice Mayeux & Phyllis Armand; brothers, Hewitt Bordelon & Godfrey Bordelon;
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jude Bordelon & Sterling Bordelon both of Bordelonville, niece & caretaker, Sonja Laborde, numerous nieces, nephews, & friends.
Although Roberta was not a mother, she was a strong mother figure to her nieces & nephews. She lived and worked in New Orleans for 44 years. She worked in the food service industry while in New Orleans and while cooking was a job, it was also a hobby to bake and cook for family. She was loved very much by family and will be missed dearly.
