Funeral services for Roberta Dobbins Taylor of Mansura will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Evergreen, beginning at 12:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church beginning that morning at 10:00am until the time of the funeral. Burial will take place at the Magnolia Baptist Cemetery. Roberta Taylor, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Avoyelles Hospital. She is survived by her; daughter, Betty and husband Donald Lavalais of Mansura; sons, Alfred and wife Jacquelyn Taylor, Jr. of New Orleans, Terry Crockett of Mansura, Larry Crockett of Mansura, David Crockett of Mansura, Iris Dobbins of Bunkie, Donald Crockett of Mansura; sister, Dorothy Darander of Mansura; brothers, Vernon Dobbins of Mansura, Sammuel Lucas of Mansura; six grandchildren one great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements and services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
