Moreauville

A memorial service for Ronald Roy "Nub" Clark age 72 of Moreauville will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.

Ronnie was born November 15, 1950, to Robert Clark and Ruby Coco Clark at the Beridon Clinic in Moreauville, LA, which was next door to his residence, where he died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He always joked that he "didn't go far in life". He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He did have many life adventures including fishing, alligator fishing, and hunting deer, elk, wild hog, and squirrels. He also enjoyed fur trapping. He went gold prospecting in Colorado and in Alaska near Anchorage and along the shores of the Bering Sea near Nome. He enjoyed metal detecting for coins, civil war relics, and old forgotten treasures. He was an avid gardener even though he had only one green thumb. He enjoyed making knives and gun stocks. He also created the urn for his own cremains. He was a skilled "jack of all trades" with a special knack for mechanics and repairs of broken items. His work history included heavy equipment operator, commercial fishing, carpentry, and owner/operator of a sawmill. He specialized in retrieving sinker cypress logs from the Mississippi River, then sawing the lumber for sale or remodeling projects in his home.

But his most rewarding life adventures were watching his four children grow up and then blessing him with his six grandchildren who stole his heart. He had each of his grandchildren's names tattooed on his chest, over his heart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Martha; sons, Damon, James (Courtney), and Ron(Ashley); daughter, Lori; his grandchildren: Gabriel, Evan, Ava, Abigail, Zola, and Samuel; his sisters, Dianna Gay (Ken) Baugh, Debora (Richard) Shafer, Katherine Clark (Charlie), Tammy (Billy)Gaspard, Bonnie Rachal, and Angela Rachal; brothers, Terry (Tammy) Clark and Jerry Clark; sister-in-law, Veda Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Clark; stepfather, Jimmy LueAllen; brothers, David and Michael Clark, sister, Dawn James.

In lieu of flowers, Ronnie requested that donations be made to the Village of Moreauville Veterans Memorial Project. Donations in his memory may be sent to the family or dropped off at the Moreauville Town Hall 9898 Bayou Des Glaises Street, Moreauville, LA 71355
