In Loving Memory of Ronald James "Ronnie" Juneau, Sr.
Born on September 9, 1950, Ronald James Juneau Sr, known affectionately as Ronnie, sadly passed away on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at the Rivière de Soleil Community Care Center of Mansura. He was 73 years old.
Ronald was a dedicated farmer who poured his heart and soul into his work. He possessed an unwavering passion for agriculture and spent a lifetime tending to the land. With his hard work and perseverance, he created a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
Ronald shared his life with his beloved wife, Margaret Rozas Juneau, for over five decades. They were inseparable, weathering life's ups and downs with unwavering love and commitment. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories.
Ronald will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his children: Ron Juneau Jr. (Layla), Monique Juneau Chianelli (Nathan), Leslie Juneau Southern (Craig), and Natalie Juneau Carney (Scott). He was a loving and supportive father, always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His children will follow in his footsteps, carrying on the values and traditions he instilled in them.
Family was everything to Papa, and his eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren brought him immense joy and pride. He was a pillar of love and support, showering them with affection and wisdom. His legacy will live on through each generation he influenced.
Ronald is also survived by his sister, Joyce Dupuy (James), and brother-in-law, Fred Fusee. They shared a bond of kinship and friendship that brought comfort and laughter to their lives.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Roland J. Juneau, his caring mother and step-father, Lorena Juneau Dupuy and Wade Dupuy, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Delores Juneau, and his sister, Loretta Fusee.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at 11:00am at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport. Family and friends are invited to join together at the funeral visitation to reminisce, share stories, and honor the incredible man that Ronnie was. The visitation will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport from 8:00am until time of the funeral service. Following the mass, Ronald will be entombed at Church of the Little Flower Mausoleum in Evergreen, LA.
Ronnie's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family and community will be cherished and remembered for years to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Ronald's honor. This will help carry on his spirit of love and compassion for others.
