Funeral service for Rosie Jamison of Lettsworth will take place at the Methodist Protestant Church of Lettsworth on Saturday, October 20, 2012, beginning at 2:00pm with Brother Richard Metrailer officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday morning at the Escud Funeral Home of Simmesport, from 9:00am to 2:00am. Burial services will commence at the Methodist Protestant Cemetery.
Rosie Jamison, age 74, passed away at the Opelousas General Hospital on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Inez Mayeaux Kimble, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Joe Adam Laprairie, Sr. Sharon of Lakeland, Danny Earl Laprairie of Simmesport, James Burton Laprairie, Jr. of Mansura, Mark Wayne Laprairie, Sr. Teresa of Batchelor, Robert Paul Jamison, Sr. of Moreauville: special friend of 40 years, Nolan Morow Weber of Simmesport brothers, Brady Kimble of Tallulah, Clarence Kimble, Jr. of Delhi, Rex Kimble of Simmesport sister, Irene Bordelon of Big Bend. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, eighteen greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be: Joe Laprairie, Jr., McCaleb Laprairie, Mark Laprairie, Jr., Tyler Laprairie, Robert Jamison, Jr., Hunter Bowman, Zachary Bowman. She was a wonderful mother grandmother whose family always came first.
