Rosina Dupont

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport for Rosina Purpera Dupont, 97, who died on January 1, 2014.

Father Dwight DeJesus, pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church will be officiating the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held to be held on Saturday at Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. . Interment will be in Christ the King Mausoleum in Simmesport.

Mrs. Dupont was a native of Batchelor and lifelong resident of Simmesport. She was a loving wife , mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was known as an exceptional cook and her joy in life was cooking and feeding her family and friends.

She is survived by her two children Raymond Wayne Dupont and his wife Mona of Lafayette, Diane Dupont Vaccaro and her husband, John Bubba of New Roads three grandchildren, Carrie Dupont Hebert and her husband, Bart of Breaux Bridge, Meagan Vaccaro and John Lewis Vaccaro IV of New Roads two greatgrandchildren, Allie Hebert and Max Hebert of Breaux Bridge one brother John Purpera of Greenwell Springs three sistersinlaw Annabelle Purpera of Simmesport, Cecile Penn of Baton Rouge and Marie Dupont of Metairie.

Mrs. Dupont was preceded in death by her husband Henry Raymond Dupont her parents Frank and Sarah Purpera an infant grandson Baby Dupont a soninlaw Wayne Maddie and five brothers Vincent, Joseph, Delmayne, Angelo and Frank Purpera.
