Roy Lee Anderson

Roy Lee Anderson, age 73, passed away at Heritage Manor of Slidell on Tuesday, September 4, 2024.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00am, at St. Paul the Apostle Cemetery in Mansura, with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. 

Our Beloved Brother Roy Lee Anderson, September 21, 1950 ~ September 4, 2024, was gifted his heavenly wings, giving him the Love and Peace of God.

Bro. Roy received Christ early in life and attended St. James Catholic School. Growing up Bro Roy liked playing checkers and chess...Family was very important to him. He was a generous and peaceful soul...He loved his family and would do anything he could for them. His professional life led him to become a supervisor with New Orleans Housing Authority. Bro Roy was adversely impacted by Hurrican Katrina with health issues and respiratory complications. 

Roy Lee Anderson, is the son of Mary Guillory; grandson of Preduant Guillory and Victoria Marie Batisite; great grandson of Joseph Jean Baptiste and Clarisse Gaspard. 

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Guillory of Atlanta, GA; brother, James Guillory (Sandra) of Covington, LA; niece Lawrencia Lewis (Kevin); nephews, Howard Yates, and Christopher Yates (Colene); grand nieces, Cheynne Yates, Raphel Yates, Josephine Yates, and Lira Lewis; grand nephews, Chris Yetes and Kingston Lewis; aunt, Jean Levy (Donald) of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of cousins, family, and friends...

He was preceded in death by his older brother,Al Williams and sister, Anna Yates, in December 2023.
