Funeral services for Roy Leo Firmin of Sorrento will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville beginning at 1pm. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Escud Funeral Home in Cottonport beginning at 11am until the time of services. Burial will be at the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Plaucheville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Roy Leo Firmin, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Sorrento. He was preceded in death by his father Hillary Firmin one sister Sadie Wartberg three brothers Murray Firmin, Huron Firmin, and Harris Firmin. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Margaret Firmin of Sorrento three sons, Barry Firmin of Sorrento, Danny Firmin of Sorrento, and Craig Firmin of Slidell his daughter Sheree Rome of Sorrento his mother Lydia Billodeaux Firmin and his two sisters, Diane Cliff of Cottonport and Amy Firmin of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
