Funeral services for Roy Rodgers of Lettsworth will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Simmesport, beginning at 11:00am, with Rev. James Wynn. Visitations will also take place at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, beginning at 4:00pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, and will last until the time of the funeral on Wednesday. Burial services will commence at the Tabernacle Baptist Cemetery.
Roy Rodgers, age 89, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on January 31, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Will Della Rodgers daughter, Deborah Joan Rodgers brothers, Jessie Rodgers, Alfred Rodgers sisters, Catherine Eldridge, Ida Belle Causey, Ollie May Scherrer. He is survived by his wife, Louise Rodgers of Lettsworth daughter, Royce Rodgers of Mansura son, James Lee Meier Rodgers of Sulphur brothers, Raleigh Rodgers, Dale Rogers, Coy Rodgers, all of Lettsworth sister, Della May Keyes of Missouri grandchildren, Chad Meiers, Tammy Anderson greatgrandchildren, Abby Gale Anderson.
Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
