Funeral services for Sadie Pickett of Mansura will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mansura on Saturday, March 19, 2011, beginning at 11:00am, with Rev. Ronald T. Gallerson officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, March 18, 2011, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, and will resume Saturday morning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Sadie Pickett, age 87, passed away at the Rio Sol Nursing Home of Mansura on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She is preceded in death by her children, Gloria Harris, Betty Pickett, Herman Sampson, Jr., Curtis Williams parents, Newell Adele Boyer Pickett. She is survived by her sons, Clarence Jacobs, Jr., Kenneth Pickett, Chris Prier, Freddie Prier, Charles Prier, all of Mansura daughters, Linda Fox Gallerson of Mansura, Priscilla Young of Mansura, Lorra James of Houston, Audrey M. Ross of Mansura, Carolyn Ardoin of Ville Platte sister, Nice Powell of Alexandria. She is also survived by her fortytwo grandchildren thirtysix greatgrandchildren.
