Sam Maddie

Services for Mr. Sam Louis Maddie will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, in Christ the King Catholic Church, Simmesport. Burial will follow in Christ The King Mausoleum, Simmesport. Under the direction of Escude Funeral Home, Simmesport. Mr. Maddie, age 81, died October 4, 2008, in Dubuis Hospital. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers during World War II, He and his wife were owner operators of Maddies Appliance and Repair in Simmesport. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Maddie, mother Carrie Maddie and a son, Wayne Maddie. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Maddie of Simmesport; daughter, Wanda Juneau of Opelousas; brother, Bill Maddie of Simmesport; sister, Mary Legrange of Baton Rouge; sister, Jennie Maddie of Simmesport; one grandchild, three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport.
