Sammy was a simple man, with a lifelong, strong Catholic faith. In recent years, he could be seen at daily mass. He enjoyed meeting new people and engaging in thoughtful conversation with anyone he met. He welcomed many pets into the home with warm, loving care and attention to all of them equally. He very much loved his granddaughters and was very proud of them as they both recently entered college.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to the All-Saints Hospice Team and Hessmer Nursing Home Staff who took great care of him in his final days. The family is at peace and their memories will bring comfort and serenity to all.
Family and friends are invited to sign and view the online guestbook at www.escudefuneralhome.com. The family will have a memorial mass at a later date with those details to be announced later.
