Funeral services for Samuel Slaughter of Marksville will take place at the St. John Community Baptist Church of Marksville on Friday, October 7, 2011, beginning at 7:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral services, beginning at 5:00pm. Dismissal services will commence on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the St. John Community Cemetery of Marksville.
Samuel Slaughter, age 61, passed away at the Grace Home Hospice Center on Alexandria on Saturday, October 1, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Slaughter, Jr. Marie Crockett Slaughter brothers, Ellis Slaughter, Levi Slaughter, Horace Slaughter. He is survived by his sisters, Girlean Moore, Amy Sullivan, both of Marksville, Joyce Slaughter, Lois Dominick, Lurthie Leatherman, Ella Rice, Deborah Ford, Helen Blackman, all of Baton Rouge brothers, Warren Slaughter, Lerry Slaughter, Christopher Slaughter, all of Baton Rouge, Harold Slaughter of Belwood, IL.
