Funeral services for Sandra Moreau Austin of Simmesport will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 beginning at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Dwight de Jesus officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 beginning at 5pm until 10pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport and will resume Friday morning at 8am. Burial will be at the Christ the King Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Sandra Austin, age 74, passed away at her home in Simmesport on Tuesday, February 3, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie & Laurie Moreau; sister, Mildred Moreau Austin; brothers, Allen Moreau, Troy Moreau, Berlin Moreau, & Howard Moreau.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Charles Austin, Sr.; sons, Clint Joseph Austin (Lisa Smith) of Simmesport, Brent Joseph Austin (Kimberly Ann) of Simmesport, Wayne Paul Austin of Simmesport, & Charles Austin, Jr. (Sherri) of Mansura; brothers, Abner Moreau (Helen Bordelon) of Lettsworth and Hubert Moreau of Venice. She also leaves seven granddaughters: Tiffany Veade (Jamie), Casey Foret (Leroy), Kandace Austin (Kurt Landry), Sandy Gaillard (Kerry), Brittany Austin (Kevin Sweeny), Amanda St. Romain (Zack), Kate Austin (Blake Ducote); and six great-grandchildren: Ashton Veade, Gracie Foret, Abbie Foret, Kollin Landry, Rylee Sweeny, & Hadley Gaillard.
