Sandra C. Gauthier "Ms. Dee"

Memorial visitation for Sandra Gauthier of Mansura will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 beginning at 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, a Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. by Charlie Gauthier and a Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Crawford officiating all at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.

Sandra Gauthier, 79, beloved mother was called to her eternal resting place on March 13, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1944 in Bordelonville, LA to Elvin "PT" Cooper and Luman Cooper. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Roshto (Tim) and Kim Smith, step-daughters: Renee Smith and Jennifer Key, step-son: Maxie Gauthier II (Gail), 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and her sisters: Elva Juneau and Clara Chatelain. Preceded in death by Elvin "PT" Cooper and Luman Cooper (parents), Bruce Lemoine (son), Maxie Gauthier (husband), Ron Key (son-in-law), Kenneth Smith (son-in-law) and Joseph Roy (grandson).

Sandra formerly served as Alderwoman in Mansura. She was a business owner (Dee's Fruit Stand), manager of Mansura Villa, and worked at Durand's Food Mart. She was very talented at baking and decorating cakes. Enjoyed gardening, shopping with her daughters and grand-daughters and spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
