Memorial Mass for Shepherd “Shep” James Roy, Jr. will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Mansura on Saturday, July 13, 2024 beginning at 11:00am. Entombment will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Cemetery Mausoleum.

Shepherd “Shep” James Roy, Jr., age 63, passed away on July 4, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, David Bruce Roy (Sharlene C.) of Mansura; sister, Debbie Roy Navarro (Charles “Bunny” Navarro) of Marksville; and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shepherd & Audrey Smith Roy, Sr.; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Thomas Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Abner Roy.

Memorial Visitation will begin 8:00am to 10:45am at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura on Saturday, July 13, 2024. A rosary will be recited before mass at 10:15am.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Trent Roy, Dax Roy, Brock Roy, and Newell Atkinson. Honorary pallbears include: Peter Prevot, Ronnie Durand, Mark Lemoine, Benny Saucier, and Mike Michel. The crossbearer will be Caplan Pesnell.
