Shirley Cadoree

Shirley Ann Fontenot Cadoree was born on November 4, 1939 in Mansura, LA. She enjoyed gardening, baking, talking with family and friends, and volunteering. She lovingly devoted her life to caring for others as a nursing assistant at Central Louisiana Hospital in Alexandria where she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church of Mansura.

Shirley departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father and mother (Clifton and Corrine Fontenot), her husband (Alcide Jake Cadoree), her brothers (Clifton Joe Fontenot and Donald Ray Fontenot) and her sisters (JoAnn McGee, Elizabeth Wright, and Mary Cecile Morrow).

She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Lawrence Davis of Mansura, LA; Denise Cadoree Burch (Tony) of Daphne, AL; Michelle Cadoree Bradley (Carl) of Bowie, MD; daughter-in-heart Jennifer Andrews and sons-in-heart Patrick Andrews and Foster Andrews, her brother Lester Fontenot (Jacqueline), stepson James Cadoree; and a number of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
