Funeral services for Shirley Desselle of Evergreen will take place at the Magnolia Baptist Church of Evergreen on Saturday, April 7, 2012, beginning at 12:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church prior to the funeral, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Burial services will commence at the Magnolia Baptist Cemetery.
Shirley Desselle, age 74, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria on Sunday, April 1, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Monk Lizzie Robertson Dobbins husband, Lones Desselle sisters, Willie Mae Snowden, Ruby Nell Sampson brothers, Willie Gaines, Sampson Gaines, Sr., Herman Dobbins, Neal Dobbins, W.D. Dobbins daughterinlaw, Doris Fulton Winn. She is survived by her children, Linda Faye Dobbins of Evergreen, Patricia Desselle of Evergreen, Charles Winn of Bunkie, Bernard Dobbins Rose of Evergreen, Donald Dobbins Cassandra of Baton Rouge, Troy Desselle Toni of Marksville, Paul Desselle Ericka of Mansura sisters,Margaret Johnson of Marksville, Beulah Swanson of Evergreen, Maggie Bush of Bunkie brother, Robertson Dobbins of Evergreen. She is also survived by her twentythree grandchildren twenty four greatgrandchildren.
