Funeral services for Shirley Mae Lavalais of Cottonport will take place at the Old Zion Baptist Church of Cottonport on Saturday, August 28, 2010, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also take place at the church, prior to the funeral services, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Old Zion Baptist Cemetery of Cottonport.
Shirley Lavalais, age 64, passed away at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lavalais, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Lavalais sons, Anthony Lavalais, Albert Lavalais, III, Tony Lavalais, Danny Ray Lavalais, Charles Lavalais, Steve Lavalais, Kiven Lavalais, Chad Lavalais brothers, Melvin Larcart, Sr. Monroe Larcart sisters, Mary Faye Larcart, Ora Lean Jenkins, Bernadette Harris halfsisters, Patricia Ballard, Lorraine Keller, Doris Keller, Melissa Christmas, Belinda Ballard halfbrother, Jimmy Bradford, John Bradford, Milton Bradford, Arthur Ray Bradford and her special friend, Bernard Carmouche. She is also survived by her twentynine grandchildren nine greatgrandchildren.
