Funeral Services for Skylar Orion "Chad" Jackson of Marksville will begin at 11:00am on Friday, December 22 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Burial will follow at Little Zion Baptist Church (307 S Bayou des Glaises Rd, Cottonport, LA 71327).

Visitation will begin at 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.

Skylar Orion "Chad" Jackson of Marksville, age 25, passed away at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Skylar, a young man of boundless energy and passion, found joy in the simplest pleasures of life. Whether immersed in the world of video games, competing in sports, or creating music, he brought an infectious enthusiasm to everything he pursued. His brothers were not merely siblings but also his closest confidants; they shared countless hours of laughter and camaraderie in their shared love for gaming.

Born and raised in the tranquil town of Marksville, Louisiana, Skylar's presence illuminated the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His indomitable spirit, coupled with an endearing charisma, made him a treasured friend to many and an adored son to his mother, Quintessia Fields. 

As we mourn the loss of a bright young soul, we must also remember to celebrate the moments of joy Skylar brought into our lives. His infectious laughter, his unwavering loyalty, and his unwavering support will forever remain etched in our memories. Though his light may have been extinguished too soon, may we find solace in the knowledge that Skylar's spirit lives on within each and every one of us.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Aaliyah Johnson; fiancé, Latrionna Johnson; mother, Quintessia Fields; father, Troy Jackson; sisters, Jasmine Tassin, Lilyann Jackson, and Kendelynn Jackson; sister-cousins, Chelsea Green, Brooklynn Tassin, and Aariyana Smith; brothers, Kentroy Jackson, Avery Jackson, and Christopher Lang; uncles, Albert Holmes, Jermaine Jackson, Simms Jackson; aunts, Eleanor Tassin, Victoria Jackson, Mary Jackson; and numerous, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his maternal grandfather, Herman Pearman; paternal grandparents, Simms & Nancy Jackson.

May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us to seek joy, love, and connection in every breath we take.
