I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.

A wonderful loving, devoted, concerned and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, departed this life on Tuesday night August 9, 2011, at Marksville Hospital at 9:30pm.
Mrs. Stella Benjamin Francisco was born on May 5, 1937 to the late Edward and Nell Benjamin in Moreauville, Louisiana. Stella was baptized at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Mansura, Louisiana. Stella was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Kirby Francisco, Jr. to this union 5 children were born.
Stella was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Warren and Lerbert Benjamin. Three sisters, Elmeta Wilkerson, Shirley Dupas, and Mary Lacarte, one son, Kenneth Francisco, Daughter InLaw Andrea James Francisco.
Stella was a graduate of Simmesport Colored High School of Simmesport, La. She attended Grambling State University. She taught school at Lafargue Elementary School and Moreauville. She was an active member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Ct. 174, Past Grand Lady of the Ladies Auxiliary, also a member of the Fourth degree assembly 27 of Alexandria, and an Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She was very helpful in her church and community.
Stella leaves behind to forever celebrate her life and cherish her memory, four loving sons, Christopher Benjamin Rose of Mansura, Patrick Francisco Late Andrea of Virginia, Peter Darnell Francisco Cynthia of Dallas and Kirby Francisco III of Gonzales, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two sisters MacArthur Wickliffe from Inglewood, California, Beryl Eugene Pierre of Houston, One brother Elwin Deborah of Port Arthur, and onesister in law Margie Phillip Sampson of Alexandria, one brotherinlaw Gaston Francisco of Bunkie, one daughterinlaw Jennifer Francisco of Mississippi.
Special friends of Knights and Ladies of St Peter Claver Co. and Ct. 174, fourth degree assembly 27 of Alexandria, La. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
