Funeral services for Steven "Red" DeSoto of Mansura will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 beginning at 1:00pm. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:00am until 1:00pm. Burial services will commence at the Kelone Cemetery of Fifthward.
Steven DeSoto, age 79, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital of Marksville on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Desoto; parents, Hamilton & Eldie Gaspard DeSoto; and six brothers & sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Blanchard of Mansura; grandchildren, Johnny Blanchard, Jr., Elizabeth Blanchard, & Nicholas Blanchard; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Lilly & Taylor Blanchard, Christopher & Amanda Lachney, Rebecca & Katherine Bordelon; and one great-great-grandchild, Ty Miller.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
