Funeral services for Sybil Marie Laborde Charrier of Bordelonville will take place at the St. Peter Catholic Church of Bordelonville on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at the St. Peter Catholic Church Hall on Bordelonville on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume Wednesday morning at 8:00am. Burial will commence at the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Sybil Marie Laborde Charrier, age 92, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Cleophas Laborde; her 2nd husband, Destor Charrier; parents, Isaac & Delva Cooper; grandchildren: Brian Keith Zerangue, Neil Bordelon, Jr., Oscar Zerangue, Jr.; great-grandchild, Cody Zerangue; siblings: P.T. Cooper, Laurie Cooper, Ricket Cooper, Vernice Cooper, Ernest Cooper, & Emma Moreau.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Barbara (Oscar, Sr.) Zerangue of Laguna Vista, TX, C.J. (Ruby) Laborde, Jr. of Hammond, Bettie Jean (Neil, Sr.) Bordelon of Bordelonville, Lois (Frenchy) Berard of Des Allemands, Carol (Al) Mayeux of Roxie, MS, Alton Laborde, Sr. of Bordelonville, & Aline Laborde of Bordelonville; step-child, Bernadine (Neil) Sams of Marrero; sister, Mildred Desselle of Moreauville; her grandchildren: Bryan, Cindy, Andy, Neil, III, Blase, Gabriel ''Gabby'', Mickie, Vickie, Lonnie, Angie, Troy, Holly, Alton Paul, Jr., Michael Paul, Rachel, Isaiah, Charlotte, Alison, Candace; her step-grandchildren: Wyatt, Kayla, Carley, Jacob, Justin, Dawn, Tammy, Jeffery; great-grandchildren: Kameryn, Kayden, Sasha, Sarah, Emily, Brooke, Drew, Erica, Keith, Jeremy, Ethan, Sara, Tyler, Hayden, Chelsea, Devin, Heather, Hannah, Racheal, Miranda, Brooke, Triston, Easton, Jonas, Justice, John Paul, Chloe, Stewart, Blanche, Courtney, Abbie, Dane, Brittany, Reagan, Elizabeth; and her great-great-grandchildren: Madi, Arbury, Keith Gabriel.
