Funeral services for Sylvia Vead of Plaucheville will take place at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church on Thursday, March 28, 2013, beginning at 10:00am with Bro. Larry Thibodeaux officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Simmesport on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 10:00am to 10:00pm and will resume Thursday morning at 8:00am. Burial services will commence at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Cemetery.
Sylvia Vead, age 73, passed away at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home of Simmesport on Monday, March 25, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lloyd Vead son, Lloyd Joseph Lucky Vead parents, Mitchell Velma Firmin Chesne and several brothers. She is survived by her children, Monte Vead Tina of Hamburg, Hope Casarez Gilbert of Plaucheville, Neta Macias Ruben of Oklahoma, Kathy Kimble Billy of Hamburg. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren four greatgrandchildren.
