Theresa Neucere Langston Theresa Neucere Langston, age 77, of Belledeau, entered into eternal rest and peace on Thursday, July 17, 2008. She was born on September 17, 1930 to the union of Adonis and Maria Bordelon Neucere. At the age of 18, she was employed at Borden's Ice Cream Parlor in Alexandria. It was there that she met the love of her life, John. They were united in marriage on January 12, 1949, in Boyce. The young couple resided in Alexandria, where he was employed by Roy O. Martin Lumber Co. Theresa was a stay at home mom. She lovingly cared for the five children she and John were blessed with. When John began working in the oil field, the family relocated to Eunice. While there, Theresa was involved in many clubs and school activities. She served as PTA president for several years. She also enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader. In 1962, the move was made to Belledeau, where Theresa grew up as a young girl. Because of her outgoing personality, it did not take her long to become active once again in school and church organizations. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church. For over 26 years, Theresa held many different positions for the church's Altar Society. She was also a beloved member of their choir. Whether it be baking cakes or working at the fairs, she was always a willing helper. Along with her husband, Theresa was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying her grandchildren's summer ball games. At home, she cheered for her favorite teams - the New Orleans Saints, the New York Yankees and LSU. Theresa was a big fan of country music. Her hobby was collecting memorabilia from those she liked best like Loretta Lynn, Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams, Jr. After a lengthy illness, Theresa was reunited with her husband of 57 years, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, a son, John Ray Langston, and three grandchldren, Carla Franks, Casey Franks and Lil' Bruce Franks. She is survived by one son, James Langston of Marksville; three daughters, Bernadette Franks and husband James of Echo, Gwen Franks and husband Bruce of Belledeau, Johnette Lemoine and husband Peter of Belledeau; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. Theresa was an exceptional lady, a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her. Friends may call at Escude Funeral Home, Mansura, on Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 2 p.m. until time of services Monday. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Belledeau, with Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Escude Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jory Franks, Jared Franks, Joshua Franks, Jamie Armand, Clint Barr, Shea Tremblay and Michael Langston. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Langston. Amber Barr will be crossbearer. Lectors will be Monica Armand, Jennifer Tremblay and Toni Langston. Servers will be Lane Franks and Hannah Kelly.
