Funeral services for Timothy John Guillot, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, a former resident of New Orleans, and a lifelong resident of Louisiana, will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer beginning at 10:00am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura, beginning at 5:00pm until 10:00pm Burial commence be at the church cemetery.
Mr. Timothy John Guillot was born on December 6, 1963 and died on October 21, 2013 at the age of 49. Tim was a 1981 graduate of University High School and earned a B.A. in philosophy at LSU. His fiction and nonfiction appeared in The Louisiana Review, The Advocate, and elsewhere.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Juliette Roy Guillot of Baton Rouge son and daughterinlaw, Marque Anthony McCarter and Roquel McCarter of Baton Rouge grandson, Marque Anthony McCarter II of Baton Rouge sisters Celeste Dauzat of Hessmer and Yvonne LaGrange of Pineville a brotherinlaw, Tommy LaGrange of Pineville a nephew, Jeremy LaGrange of Alexandria nieces: Sarah Dauzat of Pineville, Natalie LaGrange of Alexandria Emily Bordelon of Hessmer Kelly Bordelon of Belledeau and Lauren Dauzat of Hessmer an aunt and uncle, Joyce and Tony Latiolais of Baton Rouge an aunt, Jacqueline Guillot of Bossier City cousins including: Pete, Rachel, Nicholaus, Ianna, Paul, Shaune, Jill, Annette, Jennifer, Dylan, and Cody friends including: Mrs. Katherine Bennett, Mrs. Barbara Roy, Ms. Diane Kenley, Mr. Otto Zoller, and a special friend, Ms. Fatemeh Fae Aslani. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey John Guillot, Jr. grandparents, Tellis Adolphina Roy, Dewey Celestine Guillot cousins, Michelle Jarreau, Kim Freddie Mayeaux.
Pallbearers will be: Marque McCarter, Tommy LaGrange, Jeremy LaGrange, Tony Latiolais, Paul Guillot, Cody Lachney, and Luke Coker and Honorary Pallbearers will be: Pete Abate, Nicholaus Abate, Justin Dauzat.
A special thanks to the Ochsner Cancer Center and to Dr. Burke Brooks, nurses Tori McClendon and Michelle Thibodeaux, and all the doctors, nurses, and staff who helped Tim there also, to Carpenter House of Baton Rouge for their compassionate care during his final hours.
