Travonn Jarrel Williams

Funeral Mass for Travonn Jarrel Williams of Moreauville will begin at 11:00am on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sacred Heart #2 Mausoleum. 

Travonn J. Williams, age 26, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at his home in Moreauville. Travonn Jarrell Williams was born on June 14, 1998, to Cynthia Marie Williams and Sydney Sims Benjamin. He was baptized at an early age at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville, Louisiana. He was a devoted catholic and a member of the St. Mary’s of Avoyelles Acts Fellow sisters and brothers for life. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Plaucheville, Louisiana as the class Historian in 2016. He worked for the Department of Children and Family Services with child welfare. He was devoted and loved his job, which led him to earn a bachelor’s degree in social work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Travonn was very respectful and a great friend to all with a kind soul. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted mother, Cynthia Williams; father, Sydney Benjamin (Julie); brother, Adam Benjamin; sister, Alexis Benjamin; aunts, Susan Williams, Janell Greenhouse (Glenn), Linda Larcarte; uncles, Anthony Williams, Stanford Sampson, Rondell Benjamin (Penine); niece, Aubree Williams; nephew, Josiah Williams; and a host of relatives and friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Ditaji Duskin, Otis Jacobs, Cameron Jackson, Justin Jackson, Tate Joshua, and Khari White; honorary pallbearers: Adam Benjamin, Sidney Benjamin, Corey Lewis, Stanford Sampson, Anthony Williams, and Rashawn Williams.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Torrey Ja’ Marcus Williams; his maternal grandparents, Jules and Hilda Williams; paternal grandmother, Mary Benjamin; aunts, Linda Lewis, Ruth Ann Sampson, Faye Larcarte; and uncle, Israel Larcarte. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with a rosary prayer service at 9:30am.
