Funeral services for Velma Andrews of Marksville will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church of Marksville, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also take place at the church that same day, beginning at 8:00am, with graveside services to follow the funeral at the Holy Ghost Catholic Cemetery. Velma Andrews, age 75, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Saturday, December 26, 2009. She is preceded in death by her; husband, Belton Andrews, Sr.; parents, Percy Elnora Lavalais Lewis. She is survived by her; daughters, Mary Jane Andrews, Susan Andrews Martin, Barbara Ann Andrews, Connie Marie Andrews, all of Marksville; sons, Belton Andrews, Jr., Michael Andrews, Ronald Andrews, all of Marksville; sister, Irma Young of Marksville; brothers, Bernard Lewis of Seattle, WA., John Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK., Leo Lewis of Marksville. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren. Services and funeral arrangements are under the directions of Escude Funeral Home.
