Velma Wells

Funeral services for Velma M. Wells of Cottonport will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 beginning at 11:00am at the Little Zion Baptist Church in Longbridge. Interment will be held at the Little Zion Church Cemetery Immediately following the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 beginning at 9am until the time of funeral in the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.

Velma M. Wells, age 72, died Sunday April 6,2014 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansen Wells, Jr. parents, Veldon and Iris Randall Laurent and a daughter, Gayle Wells..

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Pauline Jenkins of Cottonport sisters, Geraldine Benjamin of Cottonport, Majesta Hagger of Mansura and Rachel Hall of Cottonport and her brother Lones Laurent of Cottonport. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
