Verna Bonnette

Funeral services for Verna "Monnie" Marie Bonnette of Simmesport will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 beginning at 1pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 beginning at 6pm until 10pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport and will resume Thursday morning at 9am. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Verna "Monnie" Bonnette, age 64, passed away at her home in Simmesport on Sunday, December 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor & Minnie Bonnette; sisters, Darlene Moreau & Nancy Nell Davis; brothers, Willis Bonnette & Clyde Bonnette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Andrea (Jerry Erckert) Brouillette of Baton Rouge and Adrian (Paige) Brouillette of Covington; brothers, Jessie Bonnette of Kenner & Billy Bonnette of Dupont; three grandchildren, Autumn Daisy Hilderbrand, Brooklynn Brouillette, & Ryan Brouillette.
Monnie was the Director of Nursing at the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Department. She was a loving grandmother to her three grandkids, always spoiling them rotten. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Monnie will be missed dearly by loving family and friends.
