Vernon Laborde

Funeral services for Vernon J. Laborde resident of Walker formerly of Bordelonville will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 beginning at 10am at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bordelonville. Visitation will be held at St. Peter's Church Hall in Bordelonville beginning on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 5pm until 10pm and will resume Wednesday morning at 8am. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Vernon J. Laborde, age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Dewey & Lottie Laborde; wife, Deloris Laborde; three sisters, and one brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jill (Timmy) Lemoine of Moreauville and Goldie (Carl) Brewer of Walker; sons, Barney (Angela) Laborde of Hessmer, Ricky (Margie) Laborde of Missouri, and Jimmy (Carol) Laborde of Bordelonville. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, & six great-great-grandchildren.
