Vincent "Shoestring" Laborde

Funeral Mass for Vincent John “Shoestring” Laborde of Mansura will begin at 1:30pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Paul Mausoleum in Mansura.

Vincent “Shoestring” Laborde, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Hessmer Nursing Home. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonny Q. Laborde; daughter, Shelby Ferguson (Scott) of Brouillette; son, Michael Johnson of Marksville; step-daughters, Wendy Young (Mike) of Pineville, Jodie Camp (Chris) of Pineville, and Laurie Lyons (Jeff) of Pineville; sister, Wanda Laborde (John) of Mansura; brother, Keith Laborde (Melissa) of Moreauville; 9 grandchildren: Kevin, Chad, Thomas, Adeline, Jack, Ava, Alyssa, Autumn, Noah; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Sean, John, Scott, Kane, Jeff, Michael; honorary pallbearers: Toby, Malcolm, and Kevin. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lurry & Dorothy Laborde; sister, Carol Laprairie; great-niece, Layla Simon. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura with a rosary prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume at 9:00am until the time of service on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
