Voorhies Dewailly, Jr.

Graveside services for V.P. Dewailly will be held at 1pm Friday, October 26, 2012 at the St. Peter Catholic Church Mausoleum in Bordelonville with Msgr. Steve Testa officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning 9am at the St. Peter Catholic Church Hall.
Mr. Dewailly, 87, of Bordelonville passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Mansura, Louisiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Bordelonville VFW. He participated in the liberation of Europe during WWII as a member of the 82nd Airborne, 505 PIR. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cleothile Bordelon Dewailly parents Voorhies Heloise Coco Dewailly, Sr. brother, Albert Babee Dewailly.
Those left to cherish his memory are son Voorhies Buster Dewailly wife Donna of Baton Rouge, La Daughters, Paula Bergeron husband Terry of Goudeau, La. and Gretchen Krueger husband Jerry of Stafford, Tx brother, Edmund Dewailly wife Adeline of Baton Rouge, La. grandchildren, Annette Droddy husband Jason of Baton Rouge, La. and David Bergeron of Goudeau, La. great grandchildren, Ryan Jacob Droddy of Baton Rouge, La. Mr. Dewailly is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews extended family.
