Walter Williams, Sr.

Funeral services for Walter Ted Williams, Sr. of Dallas, TX will take place at the Old Zion Baptist Church of Cottonport on Saturday, August 17, 2013, beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and resume Saturday morning at 9:00am. Burial service will commence at the Old Zion Baptist Cemetery.
Walter served faithfully in the United States Army for four years specializing in infantry. Walter was enjoying the days of a retired disabled veteran, spending time with children and grandchildren upon his passing on August 3, 2013. He took special interest with feeding the homeless at the city of Dallas Community Center.
Walter Williams, Sr., age 58, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Barbra Bazert Williams, three sons Brian Shawntay Williams, Walter Ted Williams Jr., and Justin Williams all of Houston, Texas and two daughters Aletha Shanell Clayton Lancaster, Texas Brittney Leonard Dallas, Texas siblings, Johnny Velma Tompkins, Everette Virginia Williams, Kenneth Williams, Donald Ray Vicki Williams Jeanette Kelly, Frankie Charles Matthews, Rosemary Robert Evans, Theresa Thomas Matthews, Carrie Ann Gary Taylor, Diane Williams, Edna Williams Thomas and Lena Williams grandchildren, Asaiah Graham, Breshae Williams, Talia Williams, Justin Daughter, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
