Willie Bonton

Funeral services for Willie Ray “Butch” Bonton of Mansura will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am in Escude’ Funeral Home Chapel of Mansura with Reverend Darrell Sampson officiating. Burial will follow in The Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Long Bridge.

Mr. Bonton, 73 passed away on September 12, 2022 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis Gayle Bonton of Mansura; sons, James Gerald Bonton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Shaun Bonton of Houston, Texas; daughter, Saidi Sosa (Victor) of Florida; brothers, S.L. Bonton, Jr. (Doretha) of Mansura and Max Bonton (Mary) of Houston, Texas; half-brother, R.L. Bonton of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, S.L. and Betsy (Blackman) Bonton, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 beginning at 8:00 am until time of service in Escude’ Funeral Home of Mansura.
