Funeral Mass for Geneva "Nan" Frances Gauthier Goudeau of Metairie will begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum.

Geneva Goudeau, age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at East Jefferson Medical Center in Metairie.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law, Gertrude Gauthier and Charlene Gauthier and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved Hank Zahn whom she enjoyed her days with and many days at the casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Allen J. Goudeau; her parents, Deo Gauthier & Loretta Ponthier Gauthier; brothers, Newman, Raymond "Pete", Bobby, and Nolan Gauthier; and sister, Mae Rose Dauzat.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until 12:30pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
