Geraldine Lacour - Andrews

Funeral service for Geraldine LaCour Andrews of Evergreen will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Church, 980 Hwy 1191 Marksville, LA with officiating Pastor Michael Gonzales & Pastor Ossie Clark. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Cemetery in Marksville.

Geraldine LaCour Andrews was born in Evergreen Louisiana, to the late Norris LaCour and Fannie Wallace LaCour on April 6, 1934. She departed this life on Wednesday June 1, 2022, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Charles Catholic Church in Goudeau, Louisiana. In 1960, she joined St. Mary's Baptist Church in Marksville, Louisiana and was baptized by the late Reverend Jacob. She was united in holy matrimony with Samuel Andrews Jr. and in this union, four children were born.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Danny Andrews; two daughters, Jacqueline Andrews Bazile (Jerry) and Fannie Ann Andrews all of Evergreen, LA; one sister, Mary LaCour Williams; two brothers, Adrian LaCour and Marvin LaCour; four granddaughters: Annette Bazile, Santana Bazile, Justice Bazile Theriot (Dale), and Amber Andrew; one grandson, Darius Bazile; two great granddaughters, Serenity Augustine and Karisma Moore; and one great-grandson, Jace Theriot. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends, and a special long-term friend, Palmae Bazile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris & Fannie LaCour; husband, Samuel Andrews Jr.; one son, Randy Andrews; two sisters, Melba Jean LaCour Crawford and Doloris LaCour Ford; and six brothers: Odelle LaCour, Idel LaCour, Norris LaCour, Jr., Lincoln LaCour, Gerald LaCour, & Jullian LaCour.
