Funeral services and arrangements for Mary Gauthier will be held on Friday, September 3rd, 2021 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery

Mary D. Gauthier, age 80, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Ellis Gauthier of Metairie; daughter, June (George) Baxter of Metairie; sons, Steven Gauthier and John (Meghan) Gauthier both of Metairie; sister, Margie McLain of Montgomery, LA; brother, Mark Desselle of Lafitte, LA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: April Ferguson, Robert Gauthier, Jr., Kevin LeBlanc, Kyle Gauthier, Brandy Dennis, Katelyn Gauthier, Kayla Gauthier, Ella Gauthier, John Gauthier, Jr., and Cody Baxter; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her parents, Dennis Desselle & Jane Normand Desselle; son, Robert Gauthier; siblings, Elsie Bernard, Irma Daigrepont, Rita Bordelon, Larry Desselle, Roger Peter Desselle, Joseph Desselle, and Matthew Desselle.

Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, September 3rd, 2021 from 9:00am until time of service.
