Vivian Hillard

Visitation for Vivian Florence Hillard of Cottonport will begin at 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. Rosary prayer service with Rev. Rusty Rabalais will begin at 6:30pm. Interment will be held on a future date at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois.

Vivian Florence Hillard, age 77, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home in Cottonport. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. Since 1994, Vivian has been employed with the Paragon Casino in Marksville and she loved her coworkers. She enjoyed going home to Iowa to visit children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Vivian was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeffrey John Good (Tellina) and Chris “Wacko” Hillard (Holly); grandchildren, Mary Kate Hillard Justin Slighton, Adam Good, and Alex Good; sisters, Rosemarie Rhodes (William “Dusty”) and Margie Juanita Jump; brother, James Allen Jager, Sr. (Pam). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Polk Hillard; parents, Raymond James Jager & Nancy Juanita Oxford Jager; brother, Albert “Sonny” Miller; granddaughter, Katelyn Mary Hillard; brother-in-law, Dwaine Jump; and sister-in-law, Pat Miller.
